Disney Plus features an extensive collection of on-demand shows and movies from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and more. Similar to other video streaming platforms, Disney+ makes personal recommendations based on your watch history. If you accidentally started some titles and want to remove them from your watch history, you need to go to Continue Watching. If you want to track the titles you have finished watching, you can use a convenient feature called the Watchlist, as long as you have manually added the show or movie to it.
So, what exactly is Continue Watching and Watchlist on Disney+? Can you remove titles from them? Read on to find out.
Disney+ helps you keep track of your watch history with two handy features:
If you want to see what you’ve been watching on Disney+, it offers a “Continue Watching” section on the home page. The Continue Watching list contains movies and shows you have started watching but not finished yet. Once you’ve done watching a title, it will be automatically removed from the Continue Watching section.
In addition, You can use the “Watchlist“ feature to keep track of titles you want to watch next and what you’ve watched. Once you have added a show or movie to the Watchlist, you can revisit it even if you have done watching.
To add a title to your Watchlist, just go to the video and click the plus (+) button under the title. The plus button will turn into a checkmark.
To remove a title from the Watchlist, simply click the checkmark.
To find the Watchlist on your Disney+ mobile app, tap your profile icon and then select Watchlist.
The Disney+ Watchlist can be found at the top of the web player on your desktop.
As mentioned earlier, videos you have finished watching will automatically removed from the Disney+ Continue Watching list. However, Disney+ doesn’t offer the function to clear the list or delete a title from it. If there is any show, movie, or series you want to remove from the Continuing Watching list, you can use the following alternative methods.
To remove a certain movie or show from your Disney+ Continue Watching list without finishing it, you can manually fast-forward to the end of the movie or the end of the show’s last episode. Then return to the Home page on Disney+, and you will find that the movie/show has disappeared from your Continue Watching list.
If you want to clear all the titles in your Disney+ Continue Watching list, you can do so by deleting the profile associated.
Disney+ allows you to create 7 profiles in total for your account, including the primary profile. You can delete profiles other than the primary profile. The primary profile is automatically generated during the sign-up process, and it cannot be deleted. You can only edit the primary profile if needed.
* Please note that after deleting, the profile cannot be recovered. It is a permanent action.
For Disney Plus Premium members, there’s a download feature to save Disney+ content on mobile devices for offline viewing. However, these downloaded videos can only be played within the Disney+ app during your subscription. Most importantly, once you start watching a downloaded video but leave it unfinished, it will show in your Continue Watching list.
To avoid appearing in the Disney+ Continue Watching list, you can download certain titles to MP4 and watch them with other supported video players. For this purpose, you can try Pazu Disney Plus Downloader, a versatile software designed for Mac and Windows computers. This tool allows you to download Disney Plus videos in MP4 or MKV format, which can be transferred to any supported device for offline enjoyment.
