Like other streaming platforms, Amazon Prime Video keeps tracking the movies and shows you’ve watched through its Watch History. Additionally, it offers the convenient Continue Watching feature, allowing you to resume where you left off directly from the homepage.
Sometimes, you may need to delete certain videos from your watch history for privacy concerns, especially when sharing an account or device with others. In addition, Prime Video uses your watch history to make content recommendations. By deleting the history, you can ensure that recommendations are based on your current preferences. Over time, a watch history can accumulate content that is no longer relevant. Deleting the history is a way to keep it organized and focused on current interests.
In this article, we will guide you on how to find and manage your Prime Video watch history, as well as how to hide a video from your Continue Watching section. Furthermore, we’ll introduce a method to prevent a video from appearing in the watch history and the Continue Watching list.
Amazon Prime Video keeps it simple to find your watch history, and you can easily delete movies and shows from it. However, this feature is only available through the web browser and is not offered in the Prime Video apps.
When you delete a title from your watch history, it will also be removed from the Continue Watching list. To do this, follow these steps:

Another way to track your viewing history is to access the “Continue watching” on the homepage of Prime Video. This feature is available on both the web player and the Prime Video apps. Just scroll down to find it.

You can remove or hide movies or shows from your “Continue watching” section, preventing them from displaying on your Prime Video.
When you hide a movie or show, it will no longer show in “Continue watching,” even if you watch it again. However, if you remove a title from “Continue watching” and then rewatch it, it will reappear. No matter whether you hide or remove a title from Continue Watching, it remains in your watch history, and you can still search for and watch the video when you want.
To hide a video, you can follow these steps on the web player or the Prime Video app on your phone, computer, or TV.

For different versions of the Prime Video app and devices, you may see different options, such as Hide this video on iOS, while Remove the video on Android.

To show the titles hidden on Prime Video, you need to use the Amazon website.

Another effective way to prevent certain videos from appearing in your watch history is to download them as MP4 files and watch offline. This approach also ensures you’re prepared for situations where an internet connection may not be available.
You can use the Prime Video app to download movies and TV shows for offline watching. However, files downloaded can only be accessed through the app on the downloaded device. Watching them still adds them to the “Continue watching” list and your overall watch history. To address this, a recommended solution is to use Pazu Amazon Prime Video Downloader, which allows you to download videos in MP4 format and watch them using alternative video players. Consequently, these videos won’t appear in your watch history or “Continue watching” list.
Pazu Amazon Prime Video Downloader is designed to download Prime Video movies and TV shows, including those free titles (formerly Freevee content), in MP4 or MKV format. After downloading, you can easily transfer these files to any compatible device for viewing or playing them using other video players. The Downloader is compatible with both Mac and Windows platforms, offering a versatile solution. You can enjoy the downloaded videos without needing the Prime Video app, and no longer have to worry about expiration dates. To get started, first you need to download, install and run the Pazu Amazon Video Downloader app on your Mac/Windows. Select AMAZON and sign in with your Amazon account.

Or you can copy-paste the link of the TV show or movie. Click the search icon to find the TV show or movie you’re looking for.
Before downloading, you’ll need to choose the video quality setting. Tap the Settings icon from the upper right and select “Preferences” to set for video formats, video codecs, audio languages, or subtitle languages.

Tap the download icon next to the movie or TV show you want to download.
If your selection is a movie, click the download icon
next to it and the download begins.
If your selection is a TV show, click the download icon

Before downloading, you can also click
to choose subtitles and audio tracks for each episode. Audio and subtitle languages in Settings only show the 6 common languages. Here you can choose any language from whatever the movie or TV show provides.

Then click Download.
