What Are Prime Video Quality Settings

Prime Video offers four video quality settings, including Best, Better, Good, and Data Saver. However, not all four settings are available on all devices. Android

1. Launch the Prime Video app on your Android phone or tablet.
2. Tap “My Stuff” at the bottom and select Settings (the gear icon).
3. Choose “Streaming quality” or “Download quality“.
4. Select the video quality among Best, Good, Better, and Data Saver. To have the best streaming quality when on Wi-Fi, enable “Use highest quality on Wi-Fi.” If you want to select a different quality for each download, choose “Always ask.”

iPhone

1. Open the Prime Video app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your profile image at the top and select Settings (the gear icon).
3. Select “Streaming & Downloading.”
4. Choose between “Streaming quality” or “Download quality”.
5. Now you can select your desired Prime Video quality (Best, Good, Better, and Data Saver). To automatically stream at the highest quality when connected to Wi-Fi, turn on “Use highest quality on Wi-Fi.”

Windows

1. Open the Prime Video on your Windows 10 or 11 PC.
2. For Streaming Quality: When playing a video, click the Gear icon at the top right and select the video quality from Good, Better, and Best.
3. For Download Quality: Click the Settings icon (the gear icon) of the Prime Video app to adjust the download video quality. Or you can click the Download icon next to a video and choose the download quality directly.

Mac

To adjust settings on a Mac (running macOS 11.4 Big Sur or higher):

Web Player

You cannot download Prime Video titles with the web player. Here’s how you can change the streaming quality setting on a web browser.

1. Log in to your account at the Amazon website and select Prime Video.
2. While playing a video, click the gear icon at the top right.
3. You can now choose the video quality among Good, Better, and Best.

Smart TV

Smart TVs and TV devices only support streaming content on Prime Video, and you cannot download videos for offline playback. Many TV and streaming device brands and models support the Prime Video app. However, some may not support changing the video quality setting directly from the app. Prime Video automatically chooses the streaming quality according to your network’s bandwidth.

Game Console
