If you share a Netflix account with family members or friends, you can have up to 5 profiles. Using distinctive profile images can help you to quickly find your own profile. You may also change the profile picture to present your current favorite shows, movies, and characters, or add a fresh touch to your Netflix experiences.
You can directly choose from Netflix’s vast selection of profile icons. These include characters from popular Netflix originals like The Crown, Stranger Things, Squid Game, and The Witcher, adorable characters from Sonic Prime and Gabby’s Dollhouse for kid profiles, and much more.
However, Netflix doesn’t support customizing profile images by uploading your own pictures. To do so, you’ll need the assistance of browser extensions. This guide will introduce how to change your Netflix profile picture within the Netflix avatar library, both on your phone and desktop. We’ll also show you how to customize Netflix profile image with a Chrome extension.

To change the profile image with the Netflix app on your Android or iPhone/iPad, you can use the following two methods. One is from the “Choose Your Profile” page, and the other is from “My Netflix” if you have chosen your profile and entered Netflix app.
No matter whether you change the profile image with the Netflix app or the website, it applies to your profile on all devices. This means if you update your picture on your phone, the new image will show up on your TV and the website, so you don’t need to do it again.

Similar to the Netflix mobile app, you can also change your profile icon on the Netflix website in two ways: one is from “Who’s watching” page and the other from your account Settings if you’ve already watching something.
1. Log into your account on Netflix website.
2. Click “Manage Profiles” on the “Who’s watching” page and select the profile you want to change the picture.

3. Select your profile at the top.

4. Click the profile picture to enter the Netflix avatar library.

5. Choose a new profile icon. Click the Save button and your profile picture will be changed.

1. If you’ve already selected your profile and started watching on the Netflix web player, click the profile icon at the top right and select Manage Profiles.

Step 2. Select the profile you want to change the picture.

Note: The following three steps are the same as steps 3-5 in Option 1.
While Netflix doesn’t support uploading your own pictures as profile images, several Chrome extensions can help you customize your profile picture. You can find them on the Chrome Web Store by searching for “Custom Netflix profile image” or similar terms.
Before you begin, please note that these Chrome extensions are developed by third-party developers, not Netflix. Profile pictures customized by these extensions might only show on your browser, and NOT synced to your Netflix account. This means you may not see the customized profile picture on your phone or TV.
Let’s take “Custom Profile Photo for Netflix” as an example to show how to customize your Netflix profile picture with a Chrome extension.
Step 1. Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for the “Custom Profile Photo for Netflix” extension. Click the Add to Chrome button > Add extension to install the extension.

Step 2. After installation, go to the Netflix website on the Chrome browser. Click the Extensions button (the puzzle piece button) at the top right and select the “Custom Profile Photo for Netflix” extension.
For easy access, you can click the little pin next to the extension to pin it next to the Chrome Extension button.

Step 3. Select the profile you want to change the profile picture for. Click the Select Image button and upload your picture. Your profile picture will be changed to your customized image.
