Adam Sandler teamed up with Netflix in 2014, and since then, he and his Happy Madison Productions have made six films for the streaming service. Then in 2020, Netflix extended their partnership with Sandler for four more movies, valued at over $250 million.
Their collaboration began in 2015 with the comedy “The Ridiculous 6,” followed by “The Do-Over,” “Sandy Wexler,” “The Week Of,” and the hugely popular “Murder Mystery.” “Murder Mystery” became Netflix’s most-watched title in the United States last year, with 83 million households tuning in during its first four weeks of release, thanks in part to Sandler and Jennifer Aniston‘s comedic chemistry.
Netflix revealed in 2020 that its subscribers had spent over two billion hours watching Adam Sandler’s original content since 2015, noted The Verge.
