The hit Apple TV+ Original, Bad Sisters, is an Irish dark comedy TV series. The first two episodes aired on August 19, 2022, and season 2 on November 13, 2024. Based on a Flemish series called Clan in 2012, this semi-comic murder mystery is set in Dublin and filmed in Ireland.
Bad sisters Season 1 has been reported a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and won 8.3/10 on IMDb. It landed four wins at the 20th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards. The series swept the category with wins for Best Drama Series, Best Lead Actress Sharon Horgan, Best Supporting Actress Anne-Marie Duff, and Best Director Dearbhla Walsh.
This wicked revenge fantasy is funny, intelligent, and perfectly paced. In season 1, when five tight-knit Garvey sisters – Eva (Sharon Hogan), Grace (Anne-Marie Duff), Becka (Eve Hewson), Ursula (Eva Birthistle), and Bibi (Sarah Greene) – encounter multiple failures to kill a monstrous husband, the husband suddenly dies in a questionable accident.
In Season 2, just as the Garvey sisters attempt to put John Paul’s death behind them, things take a turn for the worse when a new body is discovered. New mysteries and challenges arise, pulling them back into the spotlight. Who’s the killer? Is the murderer one of the five sisters? Watch the dark comedic thriller Bad Sisters on Apple TV+ and find out the answers for yourself.

Season 1 of Bad Sisters has 10 episodes. It spends all ten episodes exploring who the murderer of John Paul “JP” Williams is and how, telling the tale from two different timelines.
Season 2 has 8 episodes, introducing a new murder, which draws the sisters into another series of dangerous situations two years after the death of JP.
Bibi reveals that two car crashes have had great significance in her life. In one, her parents died. In another, she lost her eye.
While it was a happy ending for Bad Sisters season 1 on a peaceful note with all five of the sisters swimming together again, Season 2 ends bittersweet. The Garvey sisters seemingly moved forward after their great loss, but they were not entirely free from the shadows of their choices.

Season one of Bad Sisters has been a big hit for Apple TV+, winning broad critical acclaim and vast devoted fans. People seem very involved, and they are asking to see more of the Garvey sisters.
Following the success of its debut, Bad Sisters Season 2 faced high expectations. However, the follow-up’s reception proved more mixed, with some viewers finding it less compelling. Despite this, the season finale left room for potential continuation, effectively closing one chapter while opening the door to another.
However, as of now, Apple TV+ has not announced a renewal or cancellation of Bad Sisters.
