The Apple TV app brings together all the ways to watch shows and movies in one place. The app features Apple TV+, Apple’s new video subscription service offering original shows, movies and documentaries from the world’s most creative storytellers, including “The Morning Show,” “See,” “Defending Jacob,” “Ted Lasso,” “Greyhound,” “The Banker,” “Boys State” and “Beastie Boys Story.” Also on the Apple TV app, customers can subscribe to Apple TV channels, such as SHOWTIME, CBS All Access, and Starz, and watch ad-free and on demand, directly on the Apple TV app. Apple TV app is available on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, Apple TV, Smart TVs and streaming devices, Gaming consoles.
Currently there is still no Apple TV app for Android, although Twitter user ShrimpApplePro claimed that Apple was prepping an Apple TV app for Android smartphones and tablets on December 20, 2022, “Apple TV app is coming to Android, currently are still internal beta testing. Will soon be released.”
In the Android world, Apple TV is already available on Android TV devices. Back in 2020, the Android world got the Apple TV app for the first time, although this was initially limited to Sony Bravia models. The Apple TV app hit Chromecast with Google TV in 2021, followed by a later rollout to all Android TV devices.
