Netflix users can enjoy movies and TV shows on various devices, including smart TVs and streaming devices. However, Netflix limits the number of devices that can stream simultaneously, so you may need to sign out on your TV to allow others to stream. Also, to protect your account, always remember to log out of Netflix on shared or public devices, such as hotel or Airbnb TVs. This guide will walk you through the steps to log out of Netflix on TVs and streaming devices. If the TV device you want to log out of Netflix is too far to reach, we’ll also show you how to remotely sign out of one or all devices at once.

1. Log Out of Netflix Directly on TV

If you have access to the TV, you can sign out of Netflix directly. This method applies to most Smart TVs and streaming devices, including Roku, Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, etc. However, the sign-out button is a little tricky to find. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Netflix app on your TV and go to the side menu.
  2. Use your remote to select “Get Help.”
    • If you don’t see “Get Help”, look for “Settings”, “Sign Out“, or similar options, depending on different TV or streaming device models.
  3. Go down and select Sign out. Confirm your selection.

Important note: Make sure to select “Sign out” instead of “Exit Netflix.” Exit Netflix only closes the Netflix app, and you remain signed in to your account.

2. Sign Out of Netflix on TV Remotely

If you no longer have access to a TV device, such as a hotel TV after checking out, Netflix offers a convenient feature that allows you to remotely sign out on any device connected to your account.

On the Netflix Website

  1. Sign in to your account at the Netflix website.
  2. Click your profile picture at the top right and select Account.
  3. Select “Manage Access and Devices.”
